We are pleased to announce that Jnction is a winner in Innovate UK’s recent Contracts for Innovation competition for ‘Accessible Solutions for Disrupted Journeys’.
Our winning solution builds on our pioneering work with Aubin, a multimodal travel companion app for autistic people and those with neurodiverse conditions.
The funding enables us to add personalised live train and bus disruption information and re-routing options into Aubin, in a first-of-its-kind nationwide solution.
Many autistic adults report that a fear of disruption or delays on their journey deters them from using public transport; we believe that providing this live assistance will help to overcome these worries.
We are working alongside two amazing teams from Autistic UK CIC and Transport for All, together with a fantastic autistic and neurodiverse focus group, to help us improve the design and user experience to make the best possible solution for neurodivergent passengers.
If you know someone who might be interested in participating in our early user trials in the Autumn, you can find out more details and contact the Aubin team on our website: https://aubin.app/
After the project’s completion in March 2025, Aubin will be released into the app stores and will be available for white labelling. Jnction will also provide access to the back end via APIs to selected transport operators and infrastructure owners.
If you are a transport professional working in accessibility and would like to find out how your organisation can partner with Aubin or follow developments, please contact us.
