With the opening of the Elizabeth Line getting closer, MTR needed to make sure that their platform staff would be able to deliver route and travel information quickly to new passengers. Having designed and developed their website, MTR approached us with a new challenge: to create the MTR Crossrail Customer Experience Mobile App.
We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of seven companies to receive government funding as part of the RSSB’s Rail Accessibility Competition for Aubin: our first-of-its-kind Autism Journey Planner App.
Aubin started with a conversation with one of our clients about creating a travel app for autistic children. One of our team, who is parent to an autistic teenager came up with the suggestion of a needs focused journey planner based on travel preferences, rather than the quickest route. As a team we discussed how a journey planner could be made to tackle the issues faced by autistic people when using public transport and from this the idea behind Aubin was born.
