Like coal and steam engines, peak and off-peak ticket pricing could be a thing of the past after train operators have called for a major reform of the rail fare system. The shake-up could mean that over 150 years of the rail pricing model could be replaced by the rollout of ‘tap-in, tap-out’ travel nationwide.

We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as one of seven companies to receive government funding as part of the RSSB’s Rail Accessibility Competition for Aubin: our first-of-its-kind Autism Journey Planner App.
Aubin started with a conversation with one of our clients about creating a travel app for autistic children. One of our team, who is parent to an autistic teenager came up with the suggestion of a needs focused journey planner based on travel preferences, rather than the quickest route. As a team we discussed how a journey planner could be made to tackle the issues faced by autistic people when using public transport and from this the idea behind Aubin was born.
For the past few months, we have been working with train operator London Midland as part of their LMLabs Cohort 2 programme. LMLabs is an innovation lab and startup accelerator that brings together new technology projects, and customer experience research.
